Although you may have thought “Endgame” was the end… It’s just getting started. With “WandaVision” wrapping up and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” episode one just airing, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has officially kicked off Phase four! Marvel fans are getting presents all year long and will be on the edge of their seats for every movie and tv show released.

Marvel Phase 4 release dates

The Phase four release dates were all shared at the 2019 comic-con, but due to the pandemic, everything has changed. Here are the updated long awaited release dates:

“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” (March 19, 2021)
“Black Widow” (May 7, 2021)
“Loki” TV show (June 11, 2021)
“Shang-Chi: And the Legend of the Ten Rings” (July 9, 2021)
“What If…?” (Summer 2021)
“Hawkeye series” (Late 2021)

“Eternals” (November 5, 2021)
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” (December 17, 2021)

“Thor: Love and Thunder” (May 6, 2022)

Marvel Phase 4 Movies

For years, fans (including me) have begged for the amazing Scarlett Johansson to star in her very own Black Widow movie. On May 7, 2021, their dreams will come true. This is a huge step for Marvel and this gives Scarlett more screen time since her character unfortunately died in “Avengers Endgame”.

“Shang-Chi: And the Legend of the Ten Rings” will have the first Asian-led superhero movie featuring Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, the Master of Kung-Fu, releasing on July 9, 2021. Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the movie, which has now wrapped filming.

Finally Spider-Man 3, AKA “Spider-Man: No Way Home” has officially announced that the movie is coming out on December 17, 2021. We don’t know much about the plot but fans always go crazy over any Tom Holland movie.

“Thor: Love and Thunder” is being released on May 6, 2022, with a shocking twist. Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, will initially become Thor and will be called Mighty Thor. Let’s take a minute to get excited over Natalie Portman in a Thor costume!

The Doctor Strange sequel will premiere on March 25, 2022, and besides Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor change, you can expect Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. This movie will tie together both “Spider-Man 3” as well as “WandaVision”.

Marvel Phase 4 TV Shows

“WandaVision” took the world by surprise by introducing new superheroes and even new villains! The show grew very quickly and so many people watched the show that Disney+ was shut down because too many people were watching when the show aired. Fans should expect no less from the next shows.

If you aren’t on the Marvel train yet, it’s never too late to hop on. If you’re just sitting at home with nothing to do, start at the beginning and watch the first “Iron Man” movie. Since 2008 when “Iron Man” premiered Marvel has taken the world by storm with every movie, tv-show, and credit scene and is nowhere near stopping.
