If you stumbled upon the Twitter app at any point in the past two weeks, you have probably scrolled past a…. pretty… interesting scandal about actor Armie Hammer.

Before we dive into the mess that is this scandal, I should probably make sure you know who Armie Hammer is. Armie rose to fame with his role as Oliver in the movie “Call Me By Your Name” where he acted alongside Timothée Chalamet. He also portrayed Martin Ginsburg, Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s husband in the movie “On the Basis of Sex.”

First of all, I want to start out by saying I was an Armie Hammer stan. I quite literally was in love with that man. So don’t think I’m getting any more joy writing this than the next person. But now that you’re more familiar with some of his work, and you have created an image of him inside your head, I am going to ruin that for you.

I feel like there’s no way to ease into this, so I’m just going to say it… Miss Armie is a cannibal as well as a few other terrible things. Yes girl you read that right, CANNIBAL, like eat people type beat.

You’re probably wondering how, when, and why I came to this conclusion…let me unpack. Allegations started coming out on Twitter showing screenshots of Armie talking to girls through Instagram. The conversations consisted of cannibalistic fantasies as well as other chilling things I probably shouldn’t talk about on a school platform.

As you can imagine when the allegations came out, everyone was under the impression that it was just a wild rumor. But as time went on and more and more of his ex-girlfriends came out about the same behavior, we slowly began to realize it is terrifyingly true.

It doesn’t end there though. Armie and his now ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers got a divorce a few months ago for what they claimed to be “personal reasons.” It turns out he had cheated on her with some of the girls who made the allegations. Not only that, but his ex-wife also came out with a statement saying she believes all the victims and this behavior is not far fetched, which basically confirmed everything.

Just when you think it can’t possibly get worse, it does. He was dropped by his agency and let go from all his upcoming movies and projects.

Right now, that is all the news we have. More information is slowly trickling in from various sources. Armie has yet to release a statement and has been off all social media since before the allegations.

So now I guess I have to find another middle-aged male celebrity to obsess over.
