William Shatner, an actor who is best known for his role in the original series “Star Trek,”went into space on October 13, 2021.

According to Usa Today, “The trip should last just 10 minutes, with the fully automated capsule reaching a maximum altitude of about 66 miles before parachuting back into the desert.”

“I’m taking the opportunity to see it for myself. What a miracle,” said William Shatner.

According to USA Today, “Blue Origin was founded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in 2000. The company’s only human spaceflight to date launched on July 20, when it flew Bezos, Bezos’ brother Mark, Mercury 13 aviator Funk and 18-year-old student Oliver Daemen to suborbital space.”

Along with William Shatner, Blue Origin included vice president of the mission and flight operations Audrey Powers, Chris Boshuizen and Glen de Vries.

“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, diverting myself in now & then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me,” William Shatner stated.

At the age of 90, William Shatner is now the oldest man to fly in space. His flight with four other passengers was a success. .
