UGG is a brand that sells premium boots and slippers. No matter if the weather is hot, cold, snowy, or rainy, UGGs can withstand whatever environment you wear them in.
The UGG founders, Brian Smith and Doug Jensen, were Australian surfers who moved to Southern California in 1978. They wanted to make something with their “favorite material – sheepskin – the Classic Boot was born.” By the ‘80s, UGGs became a part of SoCal, as they were sold through surf shops from “San Diego to Santa Cruz.”
UGGs first appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show “Oprah’s Favorite Things” in 2003. This helped UGG skyrocket and soon were being worn by celebrities. UGG became a big success and can be recognized by anyone who sees someone wearing them.
UGGs are an iconic part of winter, the season where it seems as though almost everyone is wearing some kind of UGG, whether it’s the slippers or the boots. But why does everyone love them so much? Maybe it is because of the comfortable materials and amazing designs they use to make the boot. The company uses a variety of materials like sheepskin, cotton (which is usually on the inside of the boot), leather, and more!
UGGs are comfortable footwear that are made to last long while also being in-style. UGG also “cares deeply about doing business the right way – developing innovative products while respecting our people and planet.” They make their shoes the right way, making sure everyone is satisfied.
These boots are iconic and loved by many people. From big celebrities to your average high school student, someone will be wearing them this season. So, that begs the question, what shoes are you rocking this winter?
