Megan Moroney was born Oct. 9, 1997, in Savannah, Georgia and started her music career in 2020. After completing her degree, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee. She wrote her first single and released it in 2021. Shortly after, she released her extended play titled “Pistol Made of Roses.”
Moroney started playing the guitar at age of 16 after her father suggested it would be good for her since she has been going through a break up. Soon after, she started singing with her brother and father, and would upload videos of her doing country covers onto Instagram. Since then, she has been releasing all sorts of incredible songs.
Her music targets a young teen audience. Moroney talks a lot about her bad taste in men and how they end up hurting her. Teens go through breakups, and they get hurt, so her music can feel relatable for some teens. Moroney has only been singing for about 3-4 years and has already had such a large impact on people’s lives. To this day, she continues to make more amazing music.
Time for some fun facts! Moroney found her love for music through her brother and father who played in a band together. She was first discovered when she sang at an all-you-can-eat Waffle House benefit dinner that her sorority set up. Coincidently, Chase Rice attended the benefit and asked her to open for him at his concert. This led to her first time performing in front of a large audience.
