Kid Cudi performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 21, 2024. While performing most of his set, toward the end of the show, during the hit song “Day ‘n’ Nite,” Cudi jumped off the stage. Following this, Cudi was carried away by the security team.
However, most fans didn’t notice his abrupt disappearance because after his injury, the pre-recorded song “Pursuit of Happiness” started to play. Fans really enjoyed the set overall, and Cudi expressed remorse on social media for his injury.
His injury was revealed to be more serious than initially thought. What most believed to be a simple leg injury after a jump, turned out to be much worse. Cudi posted on social media, writing, “I have a broken calcaneus”.
He then promised fans that his tour would be postponed until recovery from his surgery for the broken calcaneus. He disclosed this information via X, formerly known as Twitter, letting fans know that this unfortunately interferes with his tour dates. Cudi claims that all tickets will be refunded and rescheduled.
This tour was the long-awaited world tour for his newest album “Insano” with Pusha T featured. “Insano” was released on Jan. 12, 2024, two years after “Entergalactic.” The tour was set to kick off in Austin, Texas on July 28, 2024.
While there was some speculation on whether or not Kid Cudi would continue to create music and tour, he has continuously made albums. He states, “Just wanted to let yall know, expect an album from me every other year,” This is some positive news to fans that may possibly outweigh the current negative news!
