“Bridgerton,” a Netflix series based on the books written by Julia Quinn, is set for its third season. The release of the episodes is broken up into two parts. The first part is to be released May 16, 2024 while the second part comes out in June.
Fans have been highly anticipating this season after waiting about two years since season two was released, and one year since “Queen Charlotte” (a sequel spin-off).
The “Bridgerton” show follows a couple as the main characters each season. Season three is going to focus on the couple Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton, and Penelope Featherington, played by Nicola Coughlan. Their romance is based on the book “Romancing Mr Bridgerton.” However, the series is going to have significant changes that aren’t in the book.
The marketing team has done a great job promoting the new seasons with their trailers. A mistake many marketing teams make when releasing trailers is giving too much information on the show or movie. Bridgerton’s season three trailers give the audience so much without revealing crucial spoilers. This leaves fans hyped for the new season.
Introduced in the trailers and on the Bridgerton official social media websites is a love rival between Colin Bridgerton and Mr. Debling, played by Sam Phillips.
Another change from the book is that Colin’s and Penelope’s love story happens much sooner than in the books. Colin and Penelope’s love story is the fourth in the book series, but due to the fans’ interest in Colin and Penelope’s love story, the third and the fourth story have been flipped.
Nonetheless, these changes are making fans who have read the books excited to see the new narrative and storyline in season three.
Now is a good time to get into the series if you like historical romances. Let’s wait and see this season’s romance play out!
