The 2024 college football season has already begun! There is talk that USC, ranked one of the top 10 schools on the Big Ten list, may heat things up in upcoming matchups.
Fans are eager to watch the Trojans play and see how far they can go after their 2024 season trailer was released. The team will struggle to find a replacement for their star player, Caleb Williams, a first-round pick who is currently playing with the Bears. They have attracted a lot of interest and great expectations as a result of Williams’ attention to the team.
USC attracted players as a transfer destination because of the chance to play alongside Williams. They signed several offensive and defensive linemen during summer in order to prepare for this upcoming season.
One benefit of Williams’ previous seasons with USC was that other players had greater access to NFL personnel. In the preseason, USC was mentioned as a possible Playoff team that could provide their players an opportunity to play with a Heisman Trophy winner. This time, coaches aren’t trying to rely as much on the quarterback position because they believe it’s more of a mystery this season, and USC didn’t have the same kind of transfer class.
USC is ranked second among the top teams in Division 1 Big Ten Conference, one of the country’s oldest collegiate athletic conferences. This year’s young receivers show promise, and it will be interesting to follow their growth come fall.
The Trojans acquired talented and attractive players for their secondary. The defensive backs for USC have historically been either too sluggish or too slender. Hopefully, USC will surprise many of its fans and bring home some wins this season.
