Canyon Cowboys Rally for a Spirited Week

Homecoming Rally

Last week at Canyon, the halls were filled with school spirit as we geared up for the big Homecoming Carnival Dance on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024. Spirit Week was packed with fun, excitement, and some seriously creative outfits! Here’s a quick roundup of what went down.

Monday – Hypnotized Pajama Day
We all hit snooze and rolled into school in our coziest pajamas. From slippers to onesies, it was a giant slumber party! Whether you are a night owl or an early bird, everyone was ready to start the week in comfort.

Tuesday – Strongest Man
Jerseys, jerseys, jerseys! Whether it was football, soccer, or even basketball, Canyon students showed off their team pride; everyone was feeling like MVPs as they tackled the day in their favorite gear.

Wednesday – Rodeo Clown
Yeehaw! Things got a little wild as everyone went full western. Cowboy hats, boots, and bandanas took over campus. It was like stepping into the Wild West. Our Canyon Cowboys definitely showed they know how to wrangle some fun.

Thursday – Conjoined Twin Day
From best friends to siblings, many paired up for twin day, pulling off matching outfits with style and creativity.

Friday – Neon Day
The week ended on a bright note, literally. Neon outfits lit up campus with every shade of highlighter imaginable. It was a glowing reminder that Canyon Cowboys shine wherever they go!

The week wrapped up with an unforgettable rally on Friday. From the lively performances by the cheer team to the dance team’s amazing routine, the rally had everyone hyped up. The sports competitions also brought out the competitive side of Canyon students, which was fun to watch. The energy in the gym was off the charts as students and staff showed off their school spirit. Whether you were a participant or just watching, it was impossible not to get caught up in the excitement.

The excitement extended into the night with Varsity Football winning 23-14 against Palm Springs. Many students celebrated the win at the Homecoming Carnival and Dance the following night as they watched the court get crowned.

Spirit Week might be over, but it’s safe to say that the energy and excitement are still in the air. Canyon Cowboys, you really outdid yourselves! Here’s to an unforgettable year!
