Laufey Lin Bing Jonsdotti is a popular artist whose music isn’t constricted to a single genre. Her song’s genre ranges between jazz, classical music, and pop, which resonates with many Canyon students. She has been involved with music her whole life and knows how to play several instruments like the cello, guitar, and piano.
Laufey’s fame has only continued to increase, leading to one of her most recent projects. On Sep. 8, 2024, Laufey collaborated with Yogurtland to sell her own flavor of frozen yogurt along with a sticker sheet for customers.
Leading up to the event, Laufey posted videos on her social media to promote the event and excite fans. Yogurtland also posted a page about Laufey on their website to introduce her to those not aware of her, including pictures and a video clip that went along with the theme of the event.
The reason behind this event is to celebrate the one year anniversary of Laufey’s album entitled “Bewitched.” This album consists of 14 songs that take listeners on an emotional rollercoaster of a journey about love. The “Bewitched: Goddess Version” comes with four more exclusive songs and was released April 26, 2024.
As part of the Yogurtland event, the company released an exclusive frozen yogurt flavor called Laufberry. It has a simple strawberry taste that had crowds of people waiting in line for a taste.
This event showcased the community Laufey created throughout her musical career. She received tremendous love and support from listeners.
