Julie is a shoegaze band that was created in 2020 where the three members, Alex Brady, Dillion Lee, and Keyan Pourzand would release singles on platforms such as Spotify.
This year on Sept. 13, 2024, Julie is set to debut their full length album called, “my anti-aircraft friend.” Leading up to the release, Julie has released three singles so far.
“Catalogue” was the first release, debuting on Sept. 29, 2023. The second was “clairbourne practice,” which was released on July 10 of this year. The third single is “very little effort,” which recently came out on Aug. 21.
All three of these singles have hyped up fans, and many are now eagerly waiting for the release. Canyon High student, Max (Ammon) Garcia, was interviewed on his thoughts for “my anti-aircraft friend,” stating, “I am excited for the production. Judging the past work of the band, the instrumentals and vocals are gonna be 10/10. I think that the album will be raw, but well produced. I think that another thing to look forward to is the tour, because their live performances are spot on, and go past just music.”
To go along with the album’s release, Julie is planning to go on tour in North America. The tour is starting in San Diego, California on Oct. 8. The tour ends on Nov. 13 in Los Angeles, California.
As Sept. 13 comes closer, I recommend listening to some songs by Julie to get familiar with their sound so you can enjoy “my anti-aircraft friend” to its fullest extent.
