The Sand Canyon Plaza will bring an entirely new life into the Sand Canyon area of Santa Clarita with many living options from apartments to townhomes amidst popular retail spots like Sprouts, Starbucks, Jersey Mike’s, and Domino’s. Walking distance from an In-N-Out location, the plaza has already begun to receive attention due to its prime location.Plans for the new Sprouts Farmers Market, adjacent to the Sand Canyon Plaza, are also underway. The project is clear from the city’s planning division and expected to be completed before the end of 2024.
Recently, Kennedy Wilson, a property investment company, “provided the $95 million senior construction loan for the development of an apartment and build-to-rent project in the Sand Canyon Plaza community.” The project will feature 259 apartments and 64 build-to-rent townhomes, designed to include amenities such as a clubroom, fitness center, courtyard, game lounge, co-working space, sky deck, pool, and spa. The build-to-rent units will provide great appeal for families, including green spaces, turf play areas, and a playground.
Future homeowners in this area will pay an estimated tax rate of about 1.19% of their home’s value each year. In addition to the taxes, if they live in a townhome, they will also have to pay $735 every year in extra fees. If they own a single-family home, they will pay $877 in extra fees.
The completed 87-acre Sand Canyon Plaza will feature parks, open spaces, a walking trail system, and a 45,000-square-foot retail center. This project promises better living conditions to the future residents, with a thoughtful mix of homes and easy access to local shopping, dining, and employment centers. The Sand Canyon Plaza will surely be an exciting new addition within the Santa Clarita community!
