On Oct. 25, 2024, the much anticipated Senior Barbecue took place, and it was everything the Class of 2025 hoped for! During lunch, seniors who had either bought tickets or snagged the Senior Fun Pack made their way to the practice field to pick up their burgers and fries from The Habit food truck. After grabbing their meals, they headed over to the senior quad to eat and enjoy some time with friends.
The fun didn’t stop there! Seniors also had the chance to sign their names on the pavement in the Spider-Man themed quad, marking the day and creating one more memory with their friends.
“I’ve been looking forward to this all year,” said senior Blake Hansen. “It’s nice to just relax with everyone and enjoy some good food. It feels like we’re getting closer as a class.”
Senior James Post commented, “This is one of those things that reminds you we’re almost done with high school. Signing my name made it feel real, like senior year is actually happening.”
Senior Diego Melara said, “It’s bittersweet. It’s fun now, but it kind of hit me that it’s one of the last times we’ll all be together like this.”
“I can’t believe how fast it’s all going by,” senior Damian Lazzo shared. “The barbecue was a reminder to enjoy these moments while we still have them.”
As for me, the day was a mix of excitement and nostalgia. Standing with my friends, eating food, and laughing about all the memories we’ve made reminded me of how quickly our time in high school is flying by. Even though we’ve still got most of the year ahead of us, this event made me realize that graduation isn’t too far off, and that hit me hard in the best way possible.
The Senior Barbecue was the perfect way to bring the Class of 2025 together for some good food and lasting memories. If you missed out, don’t worry! There are still plenty of senior activities left in the school year, but time is slipping away so quickly. Enjoy every moment before it’s too late!
