Mother’s Day is an annual holiday dedicated to honoring and celebrating mothers and caregivers around the world. In the United States, it is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, and various events revolving around the holiday often take place throughout the weekend.
In the small town of Lebec, California, located about 47 miles north of Santa Clarita, the Outlets at Tejon held their own special celebration: their fourth annual Mother’s Day Brunch! Decorated with florals, lined with trays of food, and overflowing with raffle prizes, the venue was packed with families and friends! For $39.99, anyone who RSVP’d the week before May 10, 2025, got to enjoy all of this and more!
My family, in particular, was blown away by the quality of the entire event. From complimentary gift cards atop each perfectly folded utensil set to the live music being played as we tasted the delicious selection of foods, you could feel the thoughtfulness put into each decision made while the event was being planned.
The energy of the place was indescribable. My mom noted, “The turnout was great; all forms of moms–from pregnant, soon-to-be mothers, to elderly grandparents who had seen everything motherhood had to offer–were there.”
The event ran from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. At around noon, as plates were emptied and tummies were filled, the raffles and games began! Everyone who bought a ticket for the brunch was automatically entered into a raffle where over 10 prizes were handed out. The gifts ranged from Bath & Body Works sets to Coach and Michael Kors bags!
As each lucky ticket number was read, another winner received a generous gift. My mom even won a luxurious box set from The Cosmetics Company Store, which included a variety of Bumble and Bumble hair products!
An interactive game called “Who’s Your Momma?” was played, and each pair of contestants who went up was quizzed on their knowledge of random facts about their mother!
My mom said, “As if the food was not good enough, the games topped it all off! I quickly realized how much my kids really do know and care about me.”
No thoughtful detail done by the hosts went unnoticed, and our family will absolutely be spending future Mother’s Days at this annual event. “I’m sad the event is over and that I have to wait another whole year to be back!” my mom exclaimed when leaving the venue.
No matter how you celebrate the mother in your life, whether with food and presents or simply some quality time, Mother’s Day is a joyous occasion that reminds us to be grateful for the love and sacrifices every mother makes.
