On Sept. 27, 2025, singer-songwriter Selena Gomez and producer Benny Blanco tied the knot in a private, intimate, and beautiful ceremony. This celebration was done over the course of three days and was strictly for friends and family, meaning absolutely no paparazzi. This is very common among many celebrity couples who aim for more privacy in their lives. Nevertheless, Blanco and Gomez made sure every detail of this wedding was well-thought-out.
The wedding took place at Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, with around 170 friends and family (which includes security) in attendance. Additionally, there were big white tents reserved for dancing, eating, and celebrating, to optimize both the couple and guests’ privacy.
According to Elle, some of the celebrities who were invited to this wedding were Ed Sheeran, SZA, Taylor Swift, Paul Rudd, and Paris Hilton. With Swift and Sheeran giving their respective speeches, this wedding was definitely one to remember.
From the few released photos, the wedding seemed to follow a soft aesthetic, with Gomez rocking a sleeveless, backless, white wedding dress and Blanco wearing a black tux. Although the dress may look “basic” to the naked eye, the little intricate details make everything worthwhile. Gomez was wearing a pair of small Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings to complement the dress. The dress had an hourglass shape with a long train in the back and was designed by Ralph Lauren. Having worn many outfits from the brand before, this comes as no shock. Gomez’s soft glam makeup, of course, done by her brand, Rare Beauty, also drew the audience’s attention to the dress.
Blanco and Gomez’s love draws back to around December 2023, when they already had a couple of music hits produced together. This familiarity creates a sense of comfort between the two, making their wedding even more meaningful. On Dec. 11, 2024, Blanco and Gomez got engaged after about one year of being officially together.
As usual with celebrity couples, there was some pushback regarding their relationship on social media. Some believe that Blanco and Gomez are not a good match, insisting that Gomez’s past on-and-off, eight-year relationship with Justin Bieber made more sense; however, others defended the newlyweds, pointing out that the relationship between Gomez and Bieber ended so long ago that Gomez should be allowed to move on and enjoy her new relationship.
All in all, this marriage is very clearly full of love and respect, ultimately making the pair a perfect match. The wedding was beautiful, and the privacy of the event made it that much more savory.
