Boy’s Basketball Bounces Back Into Gear
After 435 days of quarantine and Covid-19 complications, the Canyon Cowboys boys varsity basketball team was able to play their first league game. At 6:30 pm on Tuesday night, the Cowboys faced off against the Golden Valley Grizzlies.
The Cowboys took a commanding lead at the beginning of the game and stayed in the lead for the game’s entirety.
Although only being ahead single digits, in the second half the Cowboys stretched their lead to twenty.
With stand-out performances from Matthew Heyne (18 points, 8 rebounds) and Brandon Boldroff (13 points, 6 assists), the Canyon Cowboysbrought home the W with a final score of 61-45.
