In recent studies, people have been trying to figure out which pet people prefer: dogs or cats. People have shown their preference throughout the whole world.

There is even research showing that different states have their own preferred pet. In the United States, 38 states are known as dog lovers and 12 are known as cat lovers.

Social media sites also have a preference. Budget Direct found that, on Instagram, more people hashtag ‘’ilovedogs’’ than ‘’ilovecats;’’ therefore, people appear to love dogs more than cats.

On the other hand, many people are also cat lovers. Countries such as Canada, China, and Russia are cat loving territories. When looking at studies on their opinions, the cat votes are really high. Some people prefer cats over dogs because they are easier to photograph than dogs are.

Many people have also been interviewed and have been asked the big question. Author Mary Bly was interviewed and this is what she said about the discussion: ‘’Dogs come when they’re called; cats take a message and get back to you.’’ Many people agree with her, especially because dogs typically are more responsive and keen to listen, but cats take their time and will only go to you if they want to. In that case, dogs are better than cats because they listen and pay attention better!

After interviewing many people they all agree that dogs are better than cats in many logical ways. If I were to interview you, would you choose dogs or cats?
