Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival
Santa Clarita is finally holding their annual “Cowboy Festival” on Main Street in
Old Town Newhall. The event will be held on April 22 and 23, and there will be no charge or tickets needed to attend the event. The festival is set to be held between 10 am – 6 pm for both days.
Some of their unique events include over 20 performances of live music and western swing dancing. There will be many artists performing like Brennen Leigh, Kristyn Harris, Dave Stamey and more.
More of the festivities to partake in are hatchet throwing, panning for gold, visiting a blacksmith, vintage vendors, shopping at their Trading Post, and western festivities to check out. These are only a few of the things that you can participate in.
When you are busy with all of these activities, you can build up quite an appetite. Luckily, they will be providing food. You can go to their Cowboy Grub, where they will have their famous Dutch oven peach cobbler, refreshments, BBQ, and other local restaurants.
If you are not yet dressed for the occasion, you can purchase attire at the event, with their one of a kind gear to fit in with the western theme. If you would like to get your attire before the event, there are many stores that you can go to, but the best and closest option that supplies a lot of western attire is Boot Barn. Not only do they supply boots and hats, but they also have many things like belts, jewelry, pants, shirts, dresses, skirts, jackets, and bags. As there is a lot to offer, the quality of these items are very high. Not only do they have many options, but they also have a wide range for kids, women and men to choose from.
So, make sure to gear up before the event so that you can go in style. For more information, you can always visit their site and see what else they have to offer.
