Do you know a kid who has always wanted to be a cheerleader? If you do, then this event is for you!
On Sept. 23, Canyon Cheer is hosting their annual Youth Cheer Clinic! This event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the CHS Gymnasium. You must be from ages Pre-K – eighth grade to attend, and there is a registration fee of $55.
Future cheerleaders will learn motions such as “High V,” “Low V,” “T,” ”Broken T,” “Gold Post,” ”Low Gold Post,” “Right K,” “Left K,” and so much more! Cheerleaders will also learn jumps, sideline cheers and chants, basic stunts, and a dance routine!
If you’re wondering what you are paying for, every cheerleader will receive a t-shirt, a cheer bow, a drawstring backpack, food, snacks, and a free ticket into the varsity game on Friday, Oct. 6, at Canyon High School.
Not only do they get free entry into the game, but they also get to stand on a varsity cheer member’s cheer box, and cheer with them for the first half of the game!
If you are wondering how you can get into this event, you can register through the link in the Canyon Cheer Instagram bio @chscanyoncheer. Another option is you can go up to any Canyon Cheer member and ask them for a flier which has a QR code option.
If you are participating in the event, parents or anyone you know are welcome to come watch all that you have learned at the end of the event at 12 p.m.
All Varsity and JV cheer members are so excited for this event to come up again and cannot wait to teach everyone new skills!
