This season, the Canyons Girls Volleyball team has been working hard to beat each opponent that comes their way. On Sept. 14, two out of three volleyball levels received another win going against Castaic High School, and the girls cannot be more pumped for more this season.
The freshman team won in two sets, the first one being 26-24, and the second 25-17. The junior varsity team unfortunately lost after three sets, ending their score 7-15. Varsity took the final win of the day, with the final score being 25-21 after three sets. The girls have been learning from this game and are motivated and prepared to win the next home game.
“We have to lose some to win some,” said Mia Vaquez, who is on the junior varsity team.
The next game will be a home game at Canyon where the team will face Hart High School on Tuesday Sept. 20. The team has been learning and practicing to do better each game.
“We got this. I just know we can do it,” stated freshman Allyson San Juan about her team.
“I know we can take a win back from them next home game,” commented sophomore Aeisha Jaelen, who is on junior varsity, when asked about how she felt in the recent game against Castaic.
