On Sept. 1, Netflix came out with the fifth and final season of the show “Disenchantment.” The newly released season includes ten episodes. The fifth season as a whole earned a 79% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The start of the first episode begins with the group: Elfo, Luci, Prince Merkimer, Bunty, and Mop girl. In the first episode, we have trouble creeping up on its characters, but we quickly go back to Bean, the main character, who’s living her dream with her mermaid girlfriend Mora. As Bean is with her girlfriend and finally enjoying peace and time to breathe, she knows that the right thing to do is go back to her friends to try and save her kingdom.

Bean goes back to her kingdom “Dreamland” in order to defeat her evil mother, Queen Dagmar, and get rid of her for good after ruining Bean’s life and everyone else’s in Dreamland.

Through this season, there are many characters who reappear from previous seasons. The last season wraps up the show as a whole and gives everyone the perfect fairy tale ending.

We see characters come back such as Oona, one of King Zogs wife’s, Prince Derek, Odval, Ursula, Jerry, Alva, and Freckles the puppet.

Every character reintroduced plays a big part in the storyline of the show. Even insignificant characters come back into play to go after Queen Dagmar and help Bean. In the eighth episode, there is a fight between everyone in Dreamland. Everyone opens up about how much they care about each other while fighting side-by-side.

After waiting a long time for the fifth season, we have finally gotten it. Although it felt like forever, it was worth it.
