The Steelers are one of the most talked about teams in the AFC North division. People are saying they aren’t going to make the playoffs since they haven’t made playoffs in a couple years, but I think otherwise.
Steelers coach, Coach Tomlin, explains that he expects players to get better everyday instead of just going to practice and putting in time. By that he means that the stuff the players did last season won’t work this upcoming season and also said the guys that have been here know the mistakes we made last season won’t be tolerated this season.
The Steelers are going to do well because they have good players in the draft, like a good lineman from Georgia defense back Joey Porter junior. They also put Calvin Austin in for this season and he’s doing good so far in pre-season.
The Steelers also signed linebacker, Kwon Alexander, from the Jets to a 1 year contract. He will help the Stealers out in the LB position. They also signed DT Keenu Benton, LB Nick Herbig, and Te Darnell Washington from Georgia. The Pittsburgh Steelers have got some amazing athletes this offseason in the draft and other great playmakers from around the NFL.
I’m excited to see how Kenny Pickett does with a whole season ahead of him with weapons like George Pickens and Deontae Johnson. Calvin Austin and Najee Harris will be in the back field switching out with Jaylen Warren, so the defense will be outstanding. With playmakers at corner positions and LB positions in the dline positions, all around the Steelers are full of playmakers on defense and offensive side.
I can’t wait till they prove a lot of people wrong. With the Pittsburgh Steelers going undefeated in the pre-season they opened a lot of people’s eyes.
