As a new season kicks off, “Fortnite” is better than ever! After being hinted and teased, on Nov. 3, 2023, the new season was released, bringing back the classic OG “Fortnite” season five map. Veteran “Fortnite” players were ecstatic as they queued in for the first time and saw the old map, bringing them back to the good times that felt not so long ago.
The new season is shorter than usual. While most “Fortnite” seasons last three months, this season will only last four weeks. This current season will last from Nov. 3 to Dec. 2. Not only will players have the season five map, but the return of older season maps too. On Nov. 9, the season 6 map will be available. On Nov. 16, they will give us the return of the season seven and season eight map, and the last week of the season, Nov. 23, will reunite players with the season nine and season X maps.
With the return of the old map, players were given the same old locations such as Titled Towers, Dusty Depot, Paradise Palms, Pleasant Park, Salty Springs, Fatal Fields and many other classic spots.
They also brought back the old loot pool, returning many of our beloved weapons and items, such as the scar and pump. Epic Games also brought back the same lobby layout as previously displayed, bringing you back to 2018 where times were much simpler.
The same game modes are still available with the infamous battle royale mode, fitting one to four players, and you are given the option of builds or no builds depending on how you want to play. Creative is also an option so your friends can 1v1 each other or mess around on the various fun and exciting maps available.
Tell your squad to hop on and ready up with the return of the OG “Fortnite,” as nostalgia roams your mind, and joy fills you as you play and laugh with your friends.
Make sure to cherish and have fun with the short, but exciting, and new, but old season!
