During mid-January, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, tested positive for cancer in her abdomen.
In her announcement on March 22, she did not give specific details as to what kind of cancer she has; however, she later announced that it was located in her abdomen. Prior to her announcement, Kate had undergone abdominal surgery and found that she had cancer. Following the surgery, she had not been seen by the public for some time.
Because of Middleton not having an appearance with the public, folks started to speculate, causing many people to assume that she had some sort of medical issue. Although Kate has decided to keep her medical information private, it was found that staff at the London Clinic had been trying to access Kate’s medical information.
After Kate’s release of her video message about her cancer diagnosis, the public was supportive towards Kate and her husband William. In an interview with a palace spokesperson, they said, “The Prince and Princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from people here in the UK, across the Commonwealth and around the world in response to Her Royal highness’ message. They are extremely moved by the public’s warmth and support and are grateful for the understanding of their request for privacy at this time.”
Not only have Kate and William received a lot of support from the general public, but they have also received lots of support from family members, celebrities, and even world leaders.
