If you’ve never been to In-N-Out Burger after a football game on Friday Night Lights, did you even go to high school in California? At Canyon and many other schools throughout our state, there are many aspects to Friday Night Lights; dressing up according to the theme, watching the game, and of course, going to In-N-Out Burger with friends after the game.

In-N-Out Burger is a cultural centerpiece in California, and after hours of cheering in the stands or playing on the field, many students from Canyon cannot wait to fill themselves up at the location off of Sand Canyon Road.

Senior football player, Josiah Fechtelkotter, has been going to In-N-Out Burger on Friday Night Lights ever since he was a freshman. “Not only is there good food but it’s a good way to come up with plans for the weekend with friends and recover from the game,” said Fechtelkotter.

An important tip from CHS Senior, Irene Mendoza, that you should keep in mind if you plan on going to In-N-Out Burger after the next Friday Night Lights is, “try to carpool or get there as early as possible because parking spaces fill up quickly!”

If you can’t make it to In-N-Out Burger after the football games, don’t stress! The tradition carries on into the basketball season and is just as fun. Hopefully, you get to celebrate the tradition throughout your high school years!
