Over the years, Canyon’s student section has brought out school spirit and hype for football and basketball players. After a year with covid and the student section being absent, school spirit had fallen. The ability to run a student section was lost for a while but is now on the come up.

Early football games showed lack of school spirit and the energy was non-existent due to the absence of many students. Many question whether or not to attend the football games since the student section has looked empty and not as entertaining.

Now the student section has stepped up their game as they bring colorful powder, school spirit attire, and even blast music while still cheering loudly! The student section has been slowly increasing as it begins to look better and better after every game. Students are beginning to learn the customs the student section holds.

The number of students are increasing as more products are being bought and used throughout the games to make the experience better. Every week there is a new theme in which the students participate in such as neon colors and white out! The range of themes opens a creative window for students to have fun taking part in no matter what the score is.

School spirit is a big part of high school sports games and brings out a factor of excitement that every school needs. With the rising energy and numbers increasing, the student section is starting to look better than ever!
