If you’re looking for a soft serve you should’ve gone to Dairy Queen! Boys volleyball has a strong record of 7-2 as they are off to a dominating start. They are going off in both the league and the regular season.

The boys volleyball team is paving their way towards playoffs since their plans are to make a deep run. The team is filled with mostly seniors who have been playing since they were freshmen, so a successful season has been foreshadowed since the beginning.

The volleyball team hopes to beat the top dogs in the league and place at least second. If they can beat West Ranch and Valencia they will reach their goal. This team has the best overall record that Canyon has had in a very long time, so there are high hopes!

Senior Shane Wilson has been going off stacking up kills this season. His work has not gone unnoticed as he has one D1 interest. He has been looking forward to the playoffs this season since they have never gone before. When asked what he wants to do the rest of season, Wilson says “I want to win every game from here to give us the best possible record, and I also want to average at least 8 kills and 3 blocks a game.”

Boys volleyball has made a huge turnaround for Canyon as a new era is beginning. Volleyball still has a lot of games left to play, so come support this season’s team as they kill the league!
