The MLB playoffs have taken flight, and fans watch anxiously to see who will make it to the World Series. The Opening Day for the season was on March 30, 2023, with all 30 teams starting.
There were 162 games this season; however, after all those games and the adversity faced by all teams, the remaining two franchises are the Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Both teams were met with a tough division and championship series, whether it be taking down the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, or powerhouse Atlanta Braves.
Now, they have a final best-of-seven-game series lined up for the championship showdown. The games will happen at 5:03 p.m. PST on Oct. 27 – 28, Oct. 30 – Nov. 1, and Nov. 3 – 4 (games 5-7 if necessary).
This matchup was a big surprise to many baseball fans because neither teams sported the best or third-best record in their respective leagues. Historically, the Texas Rangers have never won the World Series, only making back-to-back appearances in 2010 and 2011. Today, they have made it to the World Series, but have yet to claim the trophy. As for the Arizona Diamondbacks, they have only made one World Series appearance before this, beating the New York Yankees in seven games in 2001.
It is set that games one, two, and, if necessary, games six and seven will be played at the Ranger’s brand new ballpark, Globe Life Field, in Arlington, Texas. Games three, four, and, if necessary, five will be played at the Diamondbacks’ ballpark, Chase Field, in Phoenix, Arizona.
There are many sites where you can watch the ball game such as ESPN2, Fox, Fox Deportes, Fox Sports, and Fubo.
The World Series will have some nail-biting games as we wait to see if the Rangers or the Diamondbacks will win.
