As the last few months of the year come to an end, many amusement parks are starting to decorate their parks to fit in with the holiday theme. One of the most popular parks to visit during the holidays is Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City. From Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 to Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, Universal Studios Hollywood will be filled with holiday decorations to celebrate the two holidays this month.
During this time, Universal is crowded with everyone trying to catch each event; however, there is a way to avoid all this chaos while still being able to enjoy your time there.
One of the most popular events at Universal is known as Grinchmas. It will be located at the Universal Plaza. This year’s Grinchmas event will be holding a new show from the Who-Bee Doo-Wops, who will be singing a couple of classic holiday songs such as “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and “This Christmas.” Adding onto the Grinchmas fun, the Grinch and his loveable dog Max will be available for photos at the Plaza.
If these two events still do not convince you to consider going to Universal, maybe this next one will. If you are a fan of Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”, Cindy-Lou will be reading the story out to the crowd throughout the day. This activity is a great way to keep the younger kids entertained, so you should consider dropping by.
Another place you might want to consider checking out at the park is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Throughout the area, you will be able to stop by to try and catch the Hogwarts Castle come to life with images projected onto the castle while music plays. This showcase is one of the park’s most stunning and memorable events to watch. To top it off, there will be a small choir performance done by the Hogwarts Frog Choir. They will be performing a spectacular acapella performance that you do not want to miss, so be sure to stop by.
While you are at Universal, you might also want to consider stopping by some of the restaurants that will be serving some festive foods such as the Grinch Donut, Grinch’s Heart Lemonade, 2 Sizes Too Small Cupcakes, the famous Hogwarts Butterbeer, and so much more!
