On Dec. 3, 2024, American rock band Pierce the Veil announced their “I Can’t Hear You” world tour. It started on May 13 of this year, and is scheduled to end April 16, 2026. The world tour kicked off in North America and will go to England and South America before ending in Australia.
The tour features music from rising bands like Hot Mulligan, Crawlers, and Daisy Grenade, alongside more mainstream bands such as Sleeping with Sirens, Cavetown, and Beach Weather.
Fans are especially excited because songs from Pierce the Veil’s very first album, “A Flair for the Dramatic,” are finally a part of the setlist, unlike previous concerts.
A fan page for the “I Can’t Hear You” tour (@ichytour) has been posting regular updates on Instagram. One of the fan projects from this account is “dress for the tour.” The outfit themes correlate to their five studio albums: “A Flair for the Dramatic,” “Selfish Machines,” “Collide with The Sky,” “Misadventures,” and “The Jaws of Life.”
Another fan project is a widespread poster among fans who have attended the tour is based off of the song “Hold On Till May” that features Lindsey Stamey. The song is about a girl Vic Fuentes (the lead singer of the band) knew, and how her parents neglected her, causing her to sit in a tree hoping that they would realize she was missing. With May being National Mental Health Awareness month, Fuentes sings this song to encourage her and others to hold on until they can get the help that they need. This song has inspired fans to make posters that have “I held on til May for this” or “I held on til May so I’m four months sober today” written on them.
The world tour brought fans from around the world to experience the show of a lifetime. Fans connected with each other through the many tour projects, thus creating a tighter knit community.
Those who went were able to scream out the songs at the top of their lungs and release everything to the beat of the drums. Those who have yet to go, get ready! After all, they can’t hear you.
