After waiting for over three years, “Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires” was finally released on July 10, 2025. Following the first three “Zombies” films, this new movie was long-awaited by fans due to the franchise's popularity.
American producer David Light and American film writer Joseph Raso created the storyline of “Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires,” a film about humans and monsters coexisting to live in harmony. As the movie series has continued, viewers have been introduced to a variety of monsters in each film.
In the first movie, zombies are the main focus. The second movie revolves around werewolves, and the third focuses on aliens. In the newest movie, viewers are introduced to vampires and daywalkers. Daywalkers are vampires that can survive in sunlight.
The main vampire, Victor, played by Malachi Barton, and the main daywalker, Nova, played by Freya Skye, are challenged to have their groups work together instead of working against each other. With the help of leaders from the past three movies, Victor and Nova guide each of their teams to victory while also secretly falling in love. Vampires and Daywalkers cannot be together in the plot line. As a result, everything gets chaotic because they are star-crossed lovers.
The movie provides a lot of twists and turns, but it has a happy ending; however, fans are left with a cliffhanger, which promotes the potential release of a fifth movie.
This movie ended up performing so well with audiences that the cast from the movie and the cast from Disney’s "Descendants: Rise of Red” were able to go on a tour together. The Worlds Collide Tour consisted of both casts singing all of the movies’ songs from both series. The tour performed phenomenally and ended up with sold-out shows across the world.
As someone who has been a fan of the “Zombies” movies since I was a little girl, I thought the film did an incredible job of keeping the fans, and me, entertained. Additionally, the soundtrack in the new movie is outstanding and had me and everyone I know dancing and singing along.
One of the hit songs, “Dream Come True,” which is sung together by Barton and Skye, is an incredible song, and everyone I have shown it to was enraptured by it. It is a favorite song to play in my household. The hidden meaning behind the song is beautiful and really connects to the plot of the movie!
