Sweet Summer
Traveling to beaches, eating at restaurants, refreshing cold drinks, swimming pools and hanging out with friends. That is what we’re looking forward to this summer. In 2021 many places were open, but due to the limited capacity at beaches and other public places, it made it hard to go out and enjoy our free time.
Throughout the year we look forward to enjoying things such as savory foods, delicious treats, and satisfying drinks. Fruits such as strawberries, watermelons, peaches, and dragon fruits are a few of the many enjoyable foods that come with summer. With summer comes the cool, refreshing sensation of ice cream, making all the scornful heat problems go away.
One of the most common things to do during the summer is to travel to popular and warm-weathered places. Value Penguin has stated “This year, 53% say they’ll definitely take at least one trip, and an additional 32% are considering it. Only 15% say they won’t travel at all, compared to 72% who said in a previous survey that they didn’t travel last summer.”
Another key point of Summer is sports, where most people find themselves outside enjoying a game with friends or family. More often than not people are playing football, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, or going scuba diving. These activities can be frequently played at the seaside along with friends.
Mental health researchers have found the benefits of summertime: “By getting out, for at least 30 minutes, the positive impact of warm, sunny weather can have on mental health and mood is real, according to one research”(Psycherg; Mental Health Benefits of Summer).
Many find themselves searching for something new to do or something new to learn. So some people might apply for a job, earning money or possibly purchasing new items. Clearly, the sun-sational atmosphere affects more than temperature, and swimming pools.
Summer is a time of year that has different meanings for everyone, like working hard or having fun. Throughout this time, we go swimming, walking on the seaside, pastime by playing sports with people we love, and bettering ourselves.
