The chicken nugget is a crispy and tasty food that has been a staple in children’s diet for years. Popularized by McDonald’s in 1983, chicken nuggets are now available at nearly every fast food chain, with the option to purchase a four piece all the way up to a 50 piece at some fast food restaurants.
As their popularity continues to rise, some might wonder, “Who makes the best chicken nuggets?” Well, I’m here to tell you. I conducted a survey among the students of Canyon High School to see who makes the top notch chicken nuggets.
Before I continue, the prices I list before are for the chicken nuggets themselves, not including the additional cost of add-ons such as drinks or fries, so please take that into consideration when purchasing your own chicken nuggets.
Coming in first place, Chick-fil-A makes its mark on the podium. Known for their chicken sandwich and excellent customer service, Chick-fil-A serves a standard chicken nugget and even offers the option of a grilled chicken nugget. You can get a five piece up to a 30 piece, with prices starting from $3.75 to $20.19.
In second place is McDonald’s. With their golden arches, burgers, and fries, McDonald’s is a household name associated with fun for the whole family. McDonald’s serves a standard chicken nugget with options ranging from a four piece to a 40 piece and prices starting from $1.99 to $9.99.
In third place is Wendy’s. Famous for their fresh beef and tasty Frosty’s, Wendy’s earns its place on the podium. They serve a standard chicken nugget and even offer a spicy chicken nugget for all those who want a little kick. They sell a four piece up to a 10 piece, with prices starting from $1.99 to $4.69.
In fourth place is KFC. Mainly known for their fried chicken, they also offer chicken nuggets on their menu. They sell a five piece to a 36 piece, with prices starting at $3.49 to $24.74, making them the most expensive out of all the other restaurants. So, before you make your purchase, consider whether or not you are willing to spend $24 on 36 chicken nuggets.
Last but not least, in fifth place, is Burger King. Although they are known for their famous charbroiled burger, the Whopper, Burger King also sells a standard chicken nugget. They sell a four piece to a 16 piece order of chicken nuggets, with prices ranging from $1.59 to $7.49.
