Zankou Chicken, an Armenian and Mediterranean fast casual restaurant, spans from Santa Clarita all the way to Anaheim.
They have 13 locations spread out throughout the Valley and Los Angeles, including one in Valencia.
When you walk in the Valencia location, you are greeted by friendly faces and a clean, modern atmosphere.
As you walk up, the menu catches your eye. I promise, there’s an item for you.
From whole roasted chickens to fresh pita wraps, there are over 20 menu items for you to choose from. My personal favorite is the chicken kebab plate, which includes a chicken kebab on a bed of rice served with a cucumber salad, a roasted whole tomato, and a side of delicious hummus.
The kebab plates are not limited to chicken. There are also the options of a shish kebab, lule kebab, and a combo kebab, which can consist of any two options you want. The sides are also interchangeable, so if you aren’t into cucumber salad or hummus, you could replace them with tabbouleh salad, cabbage salad, and mutabbal.
Along with kebabs, they offer pita wraps. The pita wraps are customizable with the options of the previously mentioned meats, and with the additional options of roasted chicken, chicken tarna, tri-tip, and faffale.
You can add diced tomatoes, pickled radishes, spiced onions, tahini sauce, and their famous delicious and incredible garlic sauce, which I recommend for everyone to ask on the side with any meal you get.
The rest of the menu consists of rotisserie chicken plate options varying from a half chicken plate, quarter white plate, and quarter dark plate that still come with the previously mentioned sides.
Zankou Chicken is one of my personal favorite restaurants not only in Santa Clarita, but across the Valley and Los Angeles. Their menu offers so many delicious options, and their food never fails to make me come back for more.
