Katie Sharp, Editor-in-Chief
Katie Sharp is the Co-Editor-in-Chief for Canyon High School’s journalism program, “The Pony Express.” This is her third year in journalism, and her love and passion continues to grow for this class. She doesn’t plan on pursuing a career in journalism, but she uses writing as an escape and a way to express herself. Katie mainly enjoys writing about mental health and school events, especially school sports. As Co-Editor-in-Chief, she hopes to help lead her fellow writers in journalism, as well as grow in her own writing. Katie’s big goal for this year is to bring awareness about mental health through her writing and also keeping her peers at school in the loop about school events. Outside of journalism, Katie enjoys reading, dancing for Canyon’s Varsity Dance Team, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family. She is extremely thankful to be part of the journalism team here at Canyon and wishes for a great year.
